Buddha’s Teaching on Right Speech

  • Speak truthfully: Avoid lies, exaggeration, and deception.
  • Be beneficial: Ensure your words help, not harm, others.
  • Be timely: Speak the truth at the right moment.
  • Be gentle: Deliver truths with kindness and compassion.
  • Practice self-honesty: Be aware of your own motives and reality.
  • Use skillful silence: Stay silent if speaking truth would cause unnecessary harm.
  • Speak mindfully: Align your words with awareness and ethical responsibility.
